Coach guide
When should you order team uniforms for spring season?
Short answer
Order travel ball uniforms 5–6 weeks before your first spring tournament. For February–March openers, that means mid-December to late January. Spring is the busiest season for every uniform maker, so early orders get faster production and avoid rush fees.
Week-by-week spring ordering timeline
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| 8 weeks out | Agree on colors and the look with coaches; collect logo files. |
| 6 weeks out | Request mockups. Send the size guide to families and collect measurements. |
| 5 weeks out | Approve the proof, finalize the roster (names, numbers, sizes) and pay the deposit. |
| 5 → 2 weeks out | Production (10–12 working days). Ask for production photos. |
| 2 weeks out | Shipping with tracking (3–5 days, duty-paid). |
| 1 week out | Hand out uniforms; schedule team photos. |
Roster checklist before you order
- Every player's name exactly as it should print (check spelling and capitalization)
- Numbers, with no duplicates (check league rules for pitcher or catcher numbers)
- Sizes based on chest measurement, not last year's jersey
- Youth, adult or women's cut per player
- 1–2 extra blank or numbered jerseys for late joiners
- Coach and staff pieces (quarter-zips, polos, caps)
Fall season timing
Fall travel ball usually starts in late August or September. Order by mid-July so uniforms arrive before the first fall tournament, and use the summer to collect new sizes, since kids grow fast between seasons.
